The social program begins on Wednesday April 22 with evening
cocktails to ‘catch-up’ with members of our family. Our
Hospitality Desk opens on the morning of Thursday April 23 at
9.00 AM when accompanying persons, family and friends can
receive information about Tours and additional activities, and
another opportunity provided to renew acquaintances.
A special ‘AWIG Happy Hour’ beginning at 6.00 PM each
evening will set the mood – and appetite - for dinner, and after
dinner on the Friday night there will be a unique opportunity to
taste the rums of Jamaica and the Caribbean. Unfortunately the
numbers for the rum-tasting session have to be limited, and
those that wish to attend need to e-mail the Secretary –
secretary@awig.org - to that effect.
On Sunday
April 26 – the likely date of departure for the majority of
attendees - we will have a special ‘AWIG Good Bye Breakfast’ in
the St. Ann Dining Room. Crying is permitted, as is the promise
to see each other again at the Atlantis Hotel in Nassau next
year.
Unfortunately For those who wish to attend the President’s
Welcome Function on the Thursday night and the Farewell Function
on the Saturday night, please be advised that we can no longer
subsidize those persons NOT paying a Registration Fee.
For these
individuals, there will be a charge of US$50.00 per person, per
function. It is therefore necessary to indicate your desire NO
LATER than the Thursday morning at the AWIG Hospitality Desk.
The appropriate payment will then be received at that time. This
will allow us to provide the hotel with accurate numbers for
each function
